Web applications

A web application is a type of utility application, popularized with the development of the Internet. The main feature of a web application is the transfer of business logic and data processing from the user's computer to the server. This allows for significant relief and limitation of the performance requirements of the computer on which the application is run, because the server takes over all tasks. The prerequisite is permanent or periodic Internet access, depending on the type of application.

Web application allow to be independent of the client's hardware and system platform, and the only necessary tool required to run the application is an up-to-date web browser. Currently, the web browser is pre-installed in almost every operating system that has a graphical interface. The web browser can also be found on systems without a graphical environment (eg Lynx browser in Debian / Ubuntu). Not to mention mobile devices, where it is a must have.

The most popular web applications:

  • B2B (including EDI)
  • E-commerce
  • CRM (customer relationship management)
  • BI (business intelligence)
  • other (non-standard solutions prepared for the client's needs)

Our software house implements all the above-mentioned types of web applications, but we have the greatest experience in only B2B, ecommerce and CRM applications, which is currently our specialization. However, that's not all, we are starting to develop and gather experience in the field of applications for collecting and analyzing data in terms of business BI (business intelligence).

B2B applications

The essence of the B2B application is to service business customers and improve the process of data exchange between companies, the functional scope may be different, including:

  • Sale of products and services
  • Support

The complexity of B2B systems can be very high and often requires training or implementation. This is a significant difference from web applications dedicated to end customers or publicly available applications, e.g. e-commerce applications, where the aesthetics of the user interface is crucial and often affects the degree of conversion.
